Employment Related Practices Liability

One of the most important new coverage's on the market today is Employment Related Practices

Liability (ERPL). Sixty percent of employers recently polled have been involved in some way With an

ERPL action or lawsuit. Ninety percent of claims were filed by discharged or terminated employees. No

longer the domain of large businesses, many small businesses are discovering the problems of age and

sex discrimination in hiring, firing, and other employment related practices. The coverage is known by

various titles: Employment Related Practices, Liability, Management risk Protection, Employers E & O

and Americanís with Disabilities Act Insurance. All are generally the same coverage. Most practices

provide varying limits ranging from as low as $25,000 per claim up to $1,000,000. Policies cover

employees as additional insured.
